I find the instinctive freestyle approach works well, especially when Im tired or lacking motivation.

Go through the motions on warmup and then see how I feel during the workout. Generally end up doing more than my planned workouts!

He is defying gravity :D It's even harder than planche pushups!

Hey chris, bridging is AWSOME, I like it more and more and best of all, one can work it often without getting too sore!

I have a tip that I used, not sure if it's any use for your own bridging goals at the moment but I enjoy it a lot:

first this one [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The oldtimers used to train this way and also do bench presses like that.
I've done that one a few times and it rocks, no need for heavy weigts at all, you could use anything, and also could do reps of bridges between the pullovers for more neck focus.

Dave - reverse push-up is just a Full Bridge Push-up.

Alex- thanks for the link. I must say that neck bridges are something that I seem to have overlooked in my bridging.

Might try getting comfortable on my neck with Neck Bridges and then start working up to trying those.

I have been following some of Logan Christopher's bridging progression tips lately. Amazes me the Amount of weight the neck can hold in the bridge.

Foam rolling - Trifecta - dynamic stretching
Assist Kneeling backbends 3/4 ROM 2 reps
Bridge Pushups 10 reps + 15 sec Bridge hold on last rep

EMOTM 5 rounds :
1. Hanging V-Raises 5 reps
2. Assist Pistols 3reps L&R
3. Wall Walks down & up 5 reps
4. 2 finger assist Lever Pushups 5 reps L&R

Cheese EMOTM is sick - wish I had tried earlier!

After the second round had to increase time to 1 min 15 - to allow enough time to get wall walks done with good form.

Last 2 rounds was having balance problems with Pistols and swapped them out for 3 reps Shrimp Squats. Will do the circuit with Shrimp Squats and bridge pushups instead next time.

Last set of Lever Pushups only managed 4 reps- then spend a couple of minutes on the floor in the fetal position

Deck of cards!

I used to do that with pushups, having the rule of never doing sets lower than 10 (so I simply picked cards until I reached at least ten per set.

Very effective workouts, you seem to be working the basics: horizontal pull, horizontal push, vertical pull, vertical push.

You should get the one arm push-ups soon.

Thanks Iliander.

Feel I have the strength for the 1 Arm Push - pretty comfortable with the 2 finger lever pushups. I think it is my core that maybe the weak point.

May need to focus a bit more on maximum body tension and working 1 arm/1 planks.

First time Ive tried the 1 arm horizontal pull. Feels great - only working from about 30-40 degrees from horizontal, so Ive got room for plenty of progression there.

I started working on the 1-arm push this past summer along with the pistol. Got the pistol, didn't even get close to the push-up.

Good strong work going on!
