Beware the underwear

Post by itlives on Wed Jan 30, 2013 4:59 pm

Yes, I know I'm not the only one this has happened to. I haven't hurt myself NOT working out in a long time. This morning was different.

Don't try to put your underwear on until you are fully awake!! I usually go about it standing, this morning was no different.
Right leg :right:
Left leg ....... oh no! big toe.. caught....in waist band!!! I'm going over.. over.. annnnd down! Bam into the wall. But not until I land on the left foot and twist the ankle.
Didn't even feel it this morning. But now, I can feel the swell. And it's not swell.

Thanks for wasting part of your day. I hope this helps someone :cheeky:
Got home, here's a pic. I've definitely hurt my ankles worse but this does hurt! Weird thing is, it hurts the achilles tendon more than the front where it twisted.

I'm only up to back flipping out of them at night- it's safer for older people.

Sorry about your imagination!

But then what's your excuse for high flying acrobatics in the morning upon rising and at night before bed?

Excuse? Why, use it or lose it, of course!

Meh, had this one as well, but felt sideways like a log. More ankle friendly. Speaking of which, I once tore my tendon playing boomerang. Jump - catch - landing - not so good.
Get well soon!

Re: Beware the underwear

A couple nights ago I fell down the stairs because 1) the socks I was wearing were slippery, 2) I was running, and 3) the steps were each about 2 inches too short. Skidded down the last four (rapid fire thud thud thud thud) and landed with a BANG right on my butt, elbow and shoulder.

Skinned my arm on the carpeted steps (you can see it in my "half snatch" youtube video), but beyond that there was not even so much as a bruise or pain afterwards. I love the benefits of exercise.

Actually I have whacked it a number of times before and it only phased me once, and even then no debilitation, just an ache. I seem to be able to take pretty big hits without consequence.

Oh, and my mother was there. She saw it.
