Josh T's Current PR's

Post by Josh T. on Sun Dec 02, 2012 4:02 pm

Alright, in no particular order (and these will all be destroyed soon):

- 8 consecutive FS HeSPUs
- 405lbs Sumo DL
- 295lbs Front Squat
- 315lbs x 3 - Back Squat
- 265lbs x 2 - BP
- Uhh...Straddle FL - never went for max time on this though
- Push-ups with 120lbs of added load (my 2 cousins) just for kicks and giggles

Goals soon to be broken:

- 315lbs Front Squat
- 450lbs Sumo DL

Will post more stuff whenever it goes down. Have another ~month or so before I retest on squats and DLs. We'll see what I can do by then.

Some of you may be asking yourselves, "wait, Josh who?"

I still come and visit from time to time, don't post much though.

Anyway, fancy little PR yesterday.

Narrow Stance, ATG High Bar (no belt/sleeves) - 395lbs x 1. Had about 5-10lbs "in the tank"

I'm experimenting with very high frequency lifting protocols right now (have a meet January 10) so maybe I'll post PRs somewhat frequently since I'll be setting lots of new ones.

Sickening string of progress Josh. I'm going to have to work pretty hard this winter to keep my DL around where your squat is.

Beware the dark days of EDM burnout, though... I'm more interested now than ever to see how the rest of your prep cycle ends up.

No videos, but:

Low Bar Squat - 420lbs x 1, no belt +idk beltless PR, +5lb all time beltless PR
- 385lbs x 4, no belt, +1 rep all time PR at 385lbs. Both of these were pretty easy. Could've hit around 430-435 without a belt yesterday and probably had another 5lbs in the tank.

Tomorrow I will be bringing back the sumo into my training. PRs will be broken, again. Going to use the belt, as I haven't in a while and would like to see where my sumo deadlift is at for the competition.

OH:

Conventional deadlift, no belt - 445lbs x 1, 375lbs x 5 - both all time PRs for conventional. Will still have more conventional volume, but as the meet gets closer, volume will slowly shift over to the sumo side, with the last month being nothing but competition sumo stance. So, yeah. Cool stuff.

Bench:

235lbs x 7 touch and go: +15lbs PR touch and go at 7 reps

Close Grip Bench w/ pause: 265lbs x 1. Will probably see if I can smash around 275-280 today. We shall see.

PR City

Back Squat 375x5 Beltless

Back Squat 405x3 Beltless (with more in the tank)

Pause Squats 395x3 Beltless (with more in the tank)

Things are going well. I will try to have a deadlift video up tomorrow, since I haven't taken any deadlift vids.
