Nice one , Bill. Do you hit a tire? Sometimes, I just jump into and out of the tire. If you hit it with your foot, you won't roll off it like a med ball.

Thanks Mike. I hit a tire buried halfway in the ground see pic below. Making sure you clear the Med Ball is half the fun :affraid:

Thanks Mike. When I did the Metro Dash a couple of years ago the first obstacle was tire flipping. The first thing out of my Wife's mouth when I finished and exited the field was "you are NOT getting a tire" :laugh1:

Had the Little Man over for the last 3-4 days so no training per se. LOTS of bicycle racing, sprints and heavy carries (3 blocks back to the car after a day at the beach, kid on one arm and assorted beach stuff in the other).

I installed some fiber-cement composite columns for a customer yesterday. We had to cut about a foot off each one and they're 8" in diameter. I saved two of the cut off pieces. I'm going to fill them with concrete and make a couple of kettlebells.

Actual training to resume tomorrow.

I think I finally got acclimated to the heat. Had nothing left when I got home everyday this week but felt pretty normal today.

WU

6x1 Neg chins

3 supersets
4 sandbag shouldering 125# bag
Atlas pushups with flak jacket 2,1,1

3 rounds
10 Russian twists
5 KRO
10 Chinnies

400 yard back carry 110# bag (fast pace first 250 yards)

Thought I'd up the ante a little and see were I'm at. Tried to shoulder the bag at 150# but only could get it up on top of my legs. Dropped it to 125#. Just trying to psych myself out a little. I'm testing AMRAP in 20 minutes with the 110# next week so I'm trying to make it seem light.

took an hour and three minutes for the entire workout including the time I took to talk to one of the neighbors during the OHC. On my "strength" days I run the clock just to make sure I'm resting at least two minutes between sets on the chin-ups and squats and only resting a minute between rounds on the three little circuts. On "conditioning" days I'm a slave to the timer and try to move my big butt as quick as I can.

Today was supposed to be conditioning but I was a man down today 'cause the ignorant SOB drank some moonshine last night. :headbang:  Made for a long day.

I sub all my roof work, my Bride doesn't like me up there and roofing would double my workmans comp rate.
I just eat a little at a time throughout the day. A big lunch would have the same effect you described. If it's real hot and I start getting run down I'll take a potassium tablet.

6 rounds
400 meter run
20 sledgehammer strikes

Isometrics

Stretching

Total time was 29:37, I was at 13:02 at the end of round three but stopped to talk to one of the neighbors for 2-3 minutes.
Added something new to the isometrics, I held myself in the top position of a dip on the rings. I was hanging in there pretty good until the strap started slipping through the cambuckle. It's supposed to be rated at 500 lbs but I've used the heck out of it so maybe it's time to get some new ones.
COC trainer arrived today, not as hard as I thought it would be, banged out 8 reps right out of the package. only got 7 with the left hand.

Are you making progress?

WU

Shoulder 110# sandbag AMRAP in 20 minutes = 45 reps PR +6

This is definitely an improvement but I just knew I was going to hit 50 today so kind of disappointing. Funny thing was my wind seemed to be the limiting factor this time, the bag went up fairly easy.
