I gained 1.3 kg which I didn't expect. I assumed, I would plateau, I did not overeat (much - if I did). I actually wanted a break from the heavy weights and now I want to go back to it, so mission accomplished.

I tend to get very hungry when I lift heavy - for my definition of heavy however, so I did want to get a month in with an intake around 3500 kcal/ day. I didn't have the bite to cut it down further or go up higher with the intensity, but I'm quite satisfied with the reps I did with the given weights.

So the next strength cycle will be 3 weeks weights, 1 week deload, twice. I try to pick up the weights I used a month ago and go up with the reps or/ and weight.

I set this up last year, I'm planning to do this this whole year and compare what it was good for by the end of 2014. I set this program and committed to stick to it, to free my mind from overthinking things. I guess it has all the basic movements in it, I need and can do at home with my equipment.

With the upper/ lower split I get more legwork in than before, which is good. Maybe I decide otherwise by the end of this year.

Last year I worked much on flexibility and eliminating dysbalances. This year I try to bulk up my legs a bit more, because I felt, they were lagging behind.

I have taken some measures and figures last year, which I will update shortly, so I can compare

Thanks, 'twas one of my better weeks  :goody:.

I do the stroller walks in the afternoons with the little one (fraggle). We now walk a few meters, then I put her into the jogger and walk about 6 km and maybe I do some sprints/ jogs in between. Usually she sleeps then.
Then we stop at a place where little Flora can play a bit. There happens to be a bar. And since the weather was quite nice this week, we did hang around there quite a bit. After playtime we head back home - plus 3 km.

I tell you a weakness of mine: cRPGs

I installed Windows on my MacBook and have played Baldur's Gate and now I'm on Icewind Dale. Our older daughter plays it too, so there is quite some nerdy conversation going on. :read:

I cannot slay, orks, goblins and dragons and the like in the real. Yes, you're right about that. But that would quite put some guilt on my reading also, sci-fi and such. The few games I really like playing are the ones with quite a story that would fit in a tome.
