Thanks Fellas.
Burpees are on the shelf for now.  I may go back to them at some point.  not now.  This thing has me all messed up - in my head that is.  Being consistent and training daily has done wonders for me.  I worry that I will fall off the truck!

The plan is Lower body work, pulling movements, carries, and hoping to do some swings - waiting on JMAN's green light on the swings, cleans and any other pulling.

Awesome! Once you hit 1:52, you'll have me beat. My height, in this case, is a disadvantage, so I'm sure you can do it. Probably within the next week!

I told Antoinette (my wife) and she said "oh great another thing to do now." She said just do them and stop trying to push so hard - referring to the burpees.
But sssshhhh, I will do what I can, Dave. I believe last time I tried, I might have been at 3 mins and change. so if this is the case, then burpees helped. I will try again tomorrow or this evening. LOL.

Well with these you can push harder and not suffer as much as with burpees! Except your legs will attain massive DOMS the first couple times, surely, if you're not used to it.

I did 20 deck squats last evening. This morning, no DOMS! They are tough though. It is going to take some getting to get used to them and once i get the movement down then i'll add the jump.

Roll onto your back, then stand up, repeat. Popular in crossfit, I think. Also used as a means to teach the pistol when done on one leg at a time.

Cc - they felt good. Jman recommended no more pull ups for a bit to prevent any discomfort in shoulder due to rotation, so no pulls. Sad day.

Mike - I just changed the wording after reading your comment to make it easier. Yes Squats Jumps with 36kg would be great! At this time, i have to focus to make sure that I keep the KB and my back in the correct position and perform the movement well.

What do you think, Cheese?

Post by Cesar on Wed Nov 12, 2014 12:10 pm

Tomorrow's Breakfast which is what Cheese did this morning - I subbed some things to not bother the shoulder. Here's to hoping that high pulls or bent rows do not aggravate the shoulder.  What do you think, Cheese?

1. 100 Jump rope  turns to warm up and mobility x 5:00

-- 3 EMOTM ROUNDS OF: --

2A. SB shoulder x 2
2B. swings x 6-10 (depends on how fast i move)

-- 3 EMOTM ROUNDS OF: --

3. KB Clean x 5/5

-- 3 ROUNDS OF: --

4A. KB Goblet squat x 5
4B. KB High Pull x 5
4C. KB SLDL x 5
4D. KB Bent Row x 5
--1 minute rest between rounds --

5. 100 Hindu Squats

I would think that bent rows would be fine. High Pulls I'm not sure about, maybe go light and see how it feels. If it causes problems you could try swings or maybe cleans.

1. 600 plus Jump rope  turns (I lost track at times, I just kept jumping) to warm up and mobility x 5:00 (switch to something new every 20secs)

-- 3 EMOTM ROUNDS OF: --
2A. 150 lbs SB shoulder x 1L/1R
2B. 2-hand swings using 36kg kb x 10

1 min rest in between pairs and prior to next...

-- 3 EMOTM ROUNDS OF: -
3. 36kg KB Clean x 5L/5R

1min rest to give high pull a shot and we are good to go - no discomfort or pain on left shoulder. Going to use 24kg because I do not want to get to excited and push too hard.

-- 3 ROUNDS OF: --
4A. 36 kg KB Goblet squat x 5
4B. 24kg KB High Pull x 5/5
4C. 24kg KB SLDL x 5/5
4D. 24kg KB Bent Row x 5/5
rest minimal, just enough to switch to next movement

5. 100 Hindu Squats in 2:07 new PR...THANKS for the push, Dave and Rasta! I believe that being super warmed up helped move that much faster. Usually I do the hindus as a warm up and it takes a bit to move. At about the 50 mark, I began to feel the quads burn. It was great!

done!

Note: Either all those burpees did a number to improve my conditioning or today's session was not as intense as it looked. Thanks Cheese!

Cesar, that really good on the squats. I still can't get through 100 w/o a break (or two).
I think the Burpees have helped you!

So I guess that high pulls don't bother your shoulder? That's good.

Keep putting in the good work :sgt:

11/15/14
Kids wanted to go outside to play so i figured i train...

10:00 of jump rope. Stopped when tripped on rope which was a handful of times.

Loaded carries, 150lbs sandbag; shouldered bag, 5 atg squats, carried bag 125 feetm dropped bag and did it again. Total of 50 squats and ten 125 foot lengths. While doing them had to stop once to talk to neighbor for 3-4 mins to discuss a contractor. Then around the 7th length, a neighbor's friend came over to ask what i was doing, asked if he could try, he said he could, he strai ed from knees to shoulder (hope he didn't pull something or get a hernia) and then i said now that it is on ur shoulder, squat it 5xs. He said forget it and walked out. His girlfriend/wife joked that he didn't want to show me up in front of my son. Lol. Then i fimished. I feel great.

50 hindu squats.

Done!

You've got to give the guy some credit. My neighbors all yell "Go Bill" or make jokes about Jimmy Hoffa, but no one has ever asked to give it a try.

Last night, my allergies went crazy. super congested, sneezing like you would not believe. Every time I tried to lay down I would get even more congested. Did a vapor bath with sage to help it. Didn't get to sleep til 1am and decided to sleep in. No squats or anything this morning. I will bang them out when I get home.
