Gaming thread: Just Cause 2! Madness and chaos.

Post by Guitar_maniac on Tue Apr 08, 2014 9:41 am

Since there seems to be few gamers, thuoght i'd babble something random that's not related to fitness.

Strange game :D Ridiculous amount of stuff to do:
-368 locations to visit (each with stuff to do to get them 100% completion),
-2700 resource items
-400 collectible special items
-Huge map

The sheer amount of enemy troops is also pretty epic :D I'm about 23% to the game and every missions i do, they just keep on coming. Serious sam + gta is pretty close how i would describe this.

I guess it gets a bit dull after completing the missions, since it's just completing the random villages/bases then, but i try to get all the Steam achievements from this game.

Pc yea! Also on xbox and ps3.

Haven't looked into Vita, what games are on it? It's nintendo's, if i remember correctly?

Nintendo has pretty different games than compared to other platforms, seems that X-box- ps and pc share pretty many games, but Nintendo is a different cataloque.

Vita is play station. If you have a psn+ account you get a free game every month. They have some good game titles like killzone and blops but scaled down a fair bit to fit a portable console. At the moment I'm addicted to soul sacrifice. A monster hunter style game.

Ofc it's not real. But it's still fun and a good way to kill time. Healthy imagination, happy person. Good escape, especially from stress's and especially when your body is tired. Real stuff can just be depressing sometimes.

Depending on the type of game it can be a good way to socialize and build certain skills.  My girlfriend and I play Tetris together sometimes.  I'd like to beat her scores some day but she is incredibly good.  On a good day she scores well over 100,000 (on Tetris version for the NES).  I'm doing well to get 60,000 or more.

A lot of machinery in certain trades or industries is operated in a manner much like video games also, including military, mining, manufacturing, and probably a few others that start with "M".  XD

Played through some old ones recently on my windows bootcamp partition: Gabriel Knight I & II
Baldur's Gate 2
Icewind Dale 2 - haven't completed the last fight there. The game was much entertaining and not so difficult, but the last battle is depressingly hard. So I just paused for the moment, waiting for my older daughter to catch up, so I may learn a thing or two from her eventually :D
