That would be my guess too.  One thing for sure, he definitely was a larger than life character.  His crazy rants were hilarious!

Didn't he have an interview a few days before he died saying "hearts beating their last beats"?

Man it wasn't an interview, it was like a speech I beleive, and what are the odds eh?? Strange, for sure.

"No WWE talent becomes a legend on their own. Every man's heart one day beats its final beat. His lungs breathe a final breath and if what that man did in his life makes the blood pulse through the body of others and makes them bleed deeper and something larger than life then his essence, his spirit, will be immortalized.

"In the back I see many potential legends. Some with warrior spirits and you will do the same for them. You will decide if they lived with the passion and the intensity. So much so that you will tell your stories and you will make them legends as well. You are the Ultimate Warrior fans and the spirit of Ultimate Warrior will run FOREVERRRRR!!!"

Also, this is a famous rant.

That said, maybe it was steroids. I think bigger, heavier dudes ought to be careful after the age of 40-50, he looked like he was 230 pounds, this is very hard on the heart at that age. You gotta work the heart man, if you want to be heavy, I'd say past the age of 30 even. Much easier on the legs as well.

Steroid use can lead to high blood pressure, which is very damaging to the heart. But AFAIK the actual cause of death has not been announced.

Never heard of the guy, but there are plenty of bodybuilders still alive who were pretty heavy users in the 1970s and just never stopped (and probably even use bigger doses now).
