Rough housing

Roughhousing

I do it all the time with my boys. I knew it had great benefits and have become more aware of some more.
Remember if you have girls, let them join in the fun

Can't wait to be a dad purely for this reason. Haha whenever I go round families and my girlfriends families I'm always being beaten up by the lil rascalls. Girls and boys alike. Tiring work. Just the other week I was playing piggy in the middle while lifting lil future nieces in laws over my head.

I do the same thing, Rix. It is great exercise size, keep them busy and tire them out. You build a connection with them, they learn the give and take perspective, are more confident. They learn to be gentler with others. I was at my Aunt's bday party on July 5, 2014 and was picking up my son and nephew who are a month apart. I had them standing on my open palm and held them there at my chest level. They had fun, then it turned into having them sit on my open palm and then pressed them overhead. They laughed and laughed. It was awesome.

Re: Rough housing

I rough housed with my Dad until I was 6,7 and brother all the time growing up and sometimes with other boys (until I grew breasts and it became weird). I think it really helped me 1) be comfortable enough around guys that when I was introduced to weightlifting when I was 15, I felt pretty comfortable in what was viewed as the boys domain in high school. 2) helped me approach the martial arts when I could finally pay for my own lessons.

So I rough housed with my nephews and niece when they were younger and we all had a good time. They still remember it and I'm still the record holder of lifting in the family (showed them that I could lift my 240lb brother and bring him down) even though they're all taller than me now ( am old when did that happen?)
