2015-01-19-

I've been doing my squats daily.

I'm done with the fasting - didn't make the full 14 days- only 8.

So, I'n going to get back to my stated goal of working on the SOH.
(Or something similar for prep work).

Today-
10 h.rows
10 pike push ups
20 squats
x 3
-----------------------
20  squats
X 2
-----------------------
20 minutes hip openers
-----------------------
I got some of those exercise rubber bands. They are good for a lot of things. I used them today for the squats.

Looking forward to the progress on the SOH!

I have noticed that since started yoga, my hips have recovered quite a bit of what I had when younger. On a side note, coming out of half-fish pose, my knee locked up...literally. It's happened before - a lot - but this time it took a while to find the right way to unlock it. It hurts like the devil! Glad there wasn't a fire!

I shared in the squat challenge thread but I'll say it here too. Hurt my back Fri night - no biggy , just pulled the lower muscles. It kept me from doing any workouts but I managed to only miss one day squatting. Two days down for the year now.

Nice! A little warm weather really warms the soul at this time of year! I hope that is the added boost you need to get to feeling better.

Meanwhile, we are expecting 4-6" of snow this weekend...

Thanks, Alex. The back is fine. I just got through raking the leaves out of the same ditch. This time it wasn't raining (that's coming tonight along with 29F by the am) and my back is a-ok.

I think Ross and Phil share the same DNA.
But, when was the last time we had something new from Ross? Everyone shows down..... eventually. Not that I'd want to meet Ross (or a mad Greek) in a dark alley!

itlives wrote:

With greek, just get some maltballs and you are good.
According to the mythbusters; You can get past a vicious guard dog/a mad Greek by distracting it with a raw steak/Chocolate maltballs.

plausible

The steak/maltballs successfully distracted the guard dog/a mad Greek for several moments. Once the dog/a mad Greek finished eating and realized there was no more food/chocolate, it will seek and destroy. After the test, the trainer claimed that the dog could be trained to ignore specific things like steak/maltballs.  I doubt a mad Greek will be TRAINED to ignore Chocolate.

Definitely, Dave!!
100 squats
20 pushups
15 x 2 dips
In between squat sets (of 25) I did the pushupz and dips

About my iron palm training. I do it mostly every other night. Sometimes I take two days off. It consists of
200 strikes with each hand with four different strikes(50each). Two internal style and two external style. Some people would call it soft and hard style. I use a canvas bag filled with pea gravel. Done the traditional way, I should not have to worry about arthritis .

Yes, dark chocolate, but in my case, I have to be careful with it - not because of the calories.

Funny you should say that.....

March 21 - no sun, BUT

50 tri-burpees (5X10) not timed
20 minutes forward bends - yoga

I had all I can stands, I can't stands no more!

HAD to do something...feeling like a slug is not good for me. I feel better now.

An aside, I keep up with Rikrock over at his gym (via internet) and he as well as cc has made me get moving again. Thanks guys!

Yeah. When I stopped doing them, I had not realized that my conditioning was at an all time high. When doing them, I had not realized it.
You'll get it back quick, Mike.

That's why he isn't here anymore. Imagine, spending all your time making your gym your work! You can email through that link if you want to get his updates and FB.
