Re: Cheesedog's Mass Experiment 2015

Post by Dave on Sun Oct 18, 2015 4:52 am

Cheesedog, when I was younger, I had no idea about nutrition and health.  You helped me learn a lot.  Ever since beginning to megadose D and C, I have not been sick, until about two weeks ago, and it hung on for about a week.  It was at it's way less than severe peak within 24 hours, then lessened quickly over the next 3-4 days. I got sick because I had been riding on 2 hours sleep each night, had cut way back on vitmains for the last couple months, and trained hard for a couple days in a row while in that state.  My system was too delpeted to handle it.  Bad decision, with consequences.  But I attribute my quick recovery to picking up an old habit - drinking beverages (just water, really) with apple cider vinegar.  I also tried water with ACV, glutamine and vitamin C crystals.  I was amazed at how invigorating it was.  If I am not going to eat for a while, I throw in some glucose too.  Makes it easier to hop on the bike in a hurry.  I am limiting my success by procrastinating.  What vitamin fixes that? :read:

If someone would invent a vitamin that slows time, I'd be first in line!

This is the first time I've been sick in several years since I started doing plenty of D. This time I was tricked; I thought my scratchy throat was just allergies, so I didn't do anything to treat it until the flu had already set in and got comfortable. Normally I mega-dose the C, D, and goldenseal and zinc and knock anything out right away.

Actually I think I might have to go back to the doc and get another prescription. I've been "almost" well now for about 2 weeks and it just seems to be hanging on. It's affecting my workout plan and that just has to be dealt with. Bleah!

Ha, thanks guys. My whole posterior chain is trashed today, and I'm loving it.

Time to burn off a few of those 5,000 or so calories from yesterday. I IF'd until a bit after 3 and then had a small protein and flax smoothie, worked out around 8 and then ate a HUGE spinach and romaine salad with 1 1/2 chicken breasts, some shredded cheese and carrots, and a homemade salad dressing of EVO, apple cider vinegar, garlic, oregano, turmeric, and a little cumin.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 27

1. HIIT on the elliptical: 2 minutes warmup, 8 minutes of 30 seconds fast/30 seconds recovery, and 5 minutes moderate speed to cool down a bit.

-- 2 minutes rest --

-- 3 E2M ROUNDS OF: --
2A. Squats x 12
2B. Jumping Jacks x 12 (planned to do seal jacks, but my upper back is so sore I switched)
2C. Reverse Lunges x 12
2D. Pushups x 12

-- 4 MINUTES TABATA OF: --
3A. Mountain Climbers
3B. V-ups
3C. Jumping Jacks

Stretched out and done, took a total of 45 minutes, enjoyable session.
