You have high standards for yourself, and that's great. And yet even when you don't meet them, you are still doing something more than the average joe - quite a bit more than that actually.

Thanks Dave.  I have been working at being consistent for the last 10 months that I do not want to lose what I have gained (or loss - waist size)
I need to keep going even though I am tired and rather sleep in.
I don't just want to be average -  I want to be "hey that's my papa and I want to be like him when I grow up" papa.

Worked a double yesterday. got home, did not decide to go to sleep until 2am - Antoinette and I hung out and talked while I held Santino.  Still sick and congested the little guy is.  Then he would not allow me to put him down. - super congested. Antoinette told me that from swallowing and gagging on mucus he vomited twice yesterday. I hope he feels better today. So I was only able to sleep about 2-3 hours, maybe. Slept until 7am and then did 100 hindu squats prior to getting ready for work.

Looking to get some hindu push ups and handstand holds today during the day.

Thanks Fellas.  Yes that is my motivation.

Santino is still sick, super congested and up every 15-25 mins with Antoinette.  We went to sleep and he cuddle with me for about 2 hours then woke up, got off bed, pulled my hand to get up and asked to be picked up.  He fell asleep on my shoulder.  Inconsistent sleep most of night.  Antoinette took a couple of hours to sleep then I slept for a couple of hours and now at work.

I slept through alarm - Antoinette woke me up at 650am this morning, got started on my morning including 100 hindu squats.  Drank a good amount of espresso and now ready for double shift today.  Going to shot for some hindu push ups again.

Double yesterday
in bed by 12:30am
Santino woke up by 515am
had planned on getting up at 530am to train, get ready and out the door by 620am for my first day at the Crisis Unit.

Well did not work out, laid down with Santino after he woke up at 5:15am and passed out. I woke up at 625am, got ready quick and then out the door. Luckily showered last night. So no training this morning. Plan to get my squats done during today's double at work.

About to have dinner, put dinner in microwave for 3 mins and 30 secs and decided to bang out 150 hindu squats during this time.

Clinic schedule has changed and today is my first day with new schedule. Great thing about it is that I get to have breakfast with Antoinette and kids, then I get to drive Lil C. to school - quality papa and son time. Then I get back home and have some quality time with Antoinette and Santino. I did not train this morning as I slept in - great way to start my day - woke up and cuddle with boys and Antoinette.

@ 12:21:40, completed 100 hindu squats - stopped at 50th rep for a sec to take a deep breath. All done.

Plan is to get some push ups and done. Going to try to get to conference room where there is a pretty solid table to get some BW rows. If not then I will pass. Have to work OT this evening so it is a 12.5 hour day.

 My thoughts, exactly!

I have not been sore with the exception of when i did the leg torture on 2/5/15.  I was super sore, that day.  I will try to give it another shot this week sometime.

Yesterday, Santino had his 2 year well-visit.  He ended up vomiting.  Earlier in the the day, Antoinette said that he pooped and it looked different.  Dr. offered that there is a stomach bug going around.  Antoinette also said that she was not feeling well all day long - nausea and the feeling that she needed a have a bowel movement.  Well, we got home, Santino vomited all over me, cried, to prevent myself from getting sick, we both got in the shower.  He was screaming - he was freaked out.  Hot water helped relax him as was skin to skin contact.  No other vomiting since - Just received a text from Antoinette that he just had another major bowel movement "stinky and loose."  She vomited 3 times and had loose stool as well.

Luckily, Little Cesar and I are ok so far.  I dropped him off at school this morning and plan on picking him up so that Antoinette and Santino may stay home.  Also, Cesar and I get to go pick up our car from the collision center as all repairs have been completed.   I can not wait to have the room back as we have been driving a small toyota corolla.  huge difference in size from a honda pilot.

Anyway, this morning 2015-02-25; I did not get a change to do too much and did as follows;

10 atg squats + 20 lunges
15 atg squats + 20 lunges
20 atg squats + 20 lunges
25 atg squats + 20 lunges
30 atg squats + 20 lunges

I had planned on going back down the ladder at least and then Santino woke up and wanted to cuddle.  Lil guy not feeling so good.
When it came to the lunges, I kept left foot planted on the ground - did 1 forward lunge and 1 reverse lunge and completed 20 total going back and forth, then for the second set of lunges - i kept right foot planted and did 10 forward and 10 reverse . kept switching planted foot at each pair.

Dave - I noticed that the squat + lunge combo is what leads to DOMS for me.  I felt the burn.

Dave and MODs,

Just realized that 2014 log was split from the 2015 log and locked. thanks whoever did it.  Makes it easier to search through.

Further, As I walked to the copy/mailroom, I took an extra long step - do not know why - and felt Mr. DOMS all over the glutes!!!! Thanks to Mr. Alternating Lunges!

I believe it is automatic, as threads are limited by the host site to a certain number of posts.

Today, plan was up by 6:00am. Santino woke up at 5:58am, with gas and wanting to be held. Alarm went off. Held him for about 20 mins and then everyone else woke up around 6:20am.

Then we ordered and received new car seat for Santino yesterday. Also Yesterday, We picked up our Pilot from body shop - all repairs completed. The insurance company of the guy who hit our car and made Antoinette and Santino drive off the road, took 100% liability so we are all set.
I installed car seat this morning. I worked double today and tomorrow. No time for training this morning. I walked to work and got here on time by 830am. took snow boots off, decided to get my 100 hindu squats done...in 1:52. NEW PR!
I noticed that I slowed down during the last 10-15 reps, I think that I could have gotten close to 1:47. Next time.

So today, I gave one of the MHTas (Mental Health Therapy Aides) from work, Leg Torture.
He said "no weight?" I can do that. I told him that he will be visited by Mr. DOMS :grrr!: He is excited.

I see him in the morning as he is stuck doing an overnight....

So no go on this.  He said "I wasn't feeling it.  I wanted to do something that would wake me up.  So I lifted weights." :roflol2:  He said that he is going to try it sometime this weekend.  Not holding my breathe.
Tried to explain that to wake up and or stay awake he needs to get the blood pumping, heart rate up - HIIT!
