By the way, there is obviously no need to answer my challenge, as you clearly own me on burpees at the moment.

Day 5 with no training over here! You don't want to slip back into "Mr. INconsistent Man" territory. I prescribe Sandbag shoulder and squat AMRAP for 20 minutes as penance. :sgt:

I did some sandbag shouldering after my last post. Just six reps at 132 pounds. Try doing 1 every 30 seconds for 20 minutes. Or 3 every minute. You can quickly get a feel for a good pace this way. I like these kinds of workouts because I can pace and push myself at the same time. Sandbag shouldering fartlek, if you will? Might be a good way to ease into it when your immune system is up for the stress.

Have been sick for the past week. Not motivated to train. Feeling a bit better today.
16:00 Hiit done this morning. Focused on legs - lots of jump squats!

Yesterday, I was bit my a patient on my hand - small break in skin. To be on safe side, went to ER and started protocol for exposure to blood borne pathogens. Have to take pills for the next month unless individual consents to blood work. His status is not certain at this time. He was discharged from inpatient on 3/4 so not sure what he has done for the let 26 days. Better safe than sorry.

That is ridiculous, as far as I am concerned, you give up the right to refuse blood work the moment you bite someone and put them in potential danger!

Patient consented to blood work. His hiv and hepatitis tests negative so no more pills for me. My doctor recommended still get blood work next week and 30 days after incident. I asked if it would a good idea to still do blood work at 60 and 90 days? He said it would not hurt and it would still be on covered under workman's comp.

Ok so have done close to nothing - training - in the last several weeks. Motivation fuel ran out. I believe I need a 100 burpee per day x 100 day recharge.

Day 1: 10 burpees EMOTM (not strict but made me sweat and breathe heavy) x 10 min.

Bill and Dave - let's do it! Sandbag shouldering amrap x 20:00.
Sandbag weight? 100lbs in mine now and I call raise to 125lbs and 150lbs. Let me know!

Alright, count me in. I can go as high as 132 in my sandbag. Cesar, if you want to bump yours up to 150, will it qualify me to put on my 20 pound vest to make up the difference? Our schedules are probably all different, so rather that when do we start, my question is what is the deadline?

150 lbs sounds good.
Now, my thought is that if we were doing carries, it would not make a difference if weight in bag or on you as with the vest.
We are shouldering so it is a bit different.
At the same time, are we going to say;
Use day one as our pre-test and try to go max effort and progress as the days go on with day 30 being last opportunity to push hard (post test)?

Adding a 20 pound vest on my torso means even more difficulty.  For one it is uncomfortable and restricts mobility.  Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, the weight never comes off for the whole session.  If anything that it makes it even harder for me than it does for you, since you get to drop the whole extra weight after every rep, and I don't; I am basically doing a 20 pound good morning negative every time I reach down to pick it back up.  Perhaps slightly easier on the grip, but much harder systemically overall, I'd say. So if you do go up to 150, (now that I explain my whole though process) are you going to let me hang with you as such, or is it really going to make you think I am cheating?
