Leg Mobility (ROM)

Post by Elethor on Sun Jan 10, 2016 4:51 pm

Good day everyone.

In case you guys don't remember or never knew, I am a 23 year old (turning 24 this year) rugby player. I have suffered a string of injuries over the past few years which has made it difficult to perform one leg squats (pistols) as my hamstrings seem to lock up.

Is there any specific exercise that worked for you that might work for me ? And is it even that important ? How much ROM for my hamstrings (or legs in general) do you think I would need. I highly doubt being able to do a split would do me much good on the pitch.

I worry because I was once told that the tightness of my muscles may make me more prone to injury.

Thanks for any and all input !

Snake creeps in the grass.  Own it.

A lot of his drills look really good, actually. I can personally vouch for the one above though. I do it often and I have great mobility. Mind you, martial arts background... but still. No time like the present!
